Welcome to the website of the Hope Disability Centre, an undertaking of She Hope Society NGO in Kashmir, India.
Hope Disability Centre is a non profit, non political, non-government, non-religious organization working in Jammu and Kashmir for children and adults with disabilities. It is the main undertaking of the SHE HOPE SOCIETY (NGO), registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act VI of 1998 (1941 A.D.)
Hope Disability Centre started functioning in 2001 in a single rented room, providing physical rehabilitation and special education to 3-5 children with disabilities. Thereafter, the Hope Centre with the help of its esteemed donors and philanthropic organisations not only extended its services but created infrastructure which has resulted in providing services to more than 3000 beneficiaries. Hope Disability Centre provides services in all the districts of Kashmir, for all types of disabilities (locomotor, mental, physical, speech, hearing, learning, and multiple disabilities), and all ages. The project with Handicap International includes children from the age group of 0-18 with physical disabilities only.
